Support
If something isn’t working, write to us.
Reed is made by a very small team, so every message reaches a person rather than a queue. Most answers are on this page; if yours isn’t, the form below goes straight to us.
Write to us and we’ll reply within two working days, in English or Spanish.
hello@reedbreathworks.comReed Pro and subscriptions
I subscribed, but Pro didn’t unlock
Open Settings in Reed and tap Restore purchases. This asks Apple to re-check the subscription tied to your Apple Account, and Pro should unlock within a few seconds.
If it doesn’t: make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used to subscribe, then close Reed fully and reopen it. Still nothing? Write to us with the email address on your Apple receipt and we’ll sort it out.
How do I cancel Reed Pro, or my free trial?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us, so cancelling happens in iOS rather than in Reed. On your iPhone: Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Reed → Cancel Subscription. You can also go straight there at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
If you cancel during the 7-day free trial you won’t be charged, and Pro stays available until the trial ends. Cancelling a paid subscription keeps Pro until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
What happens to my practice if Pro ends?
Nothing is deleted. All nine sessions stay free and fully playable, and your check-ins and shift history remain on your device exactly as they were. The Pro layer — personal insights, the complete trend, custom patterns, adaptive reminders and the extra themes — simply steps back. If you subscribe again later, everything you’d recorded in the meantime is still there.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and we have no way to issue them ourselves. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account you subscribed with. If something in Reed went wrong and caused it, write to us too — it’s useful for us to know, and we’re glad to help you word the request.
Your practice and your data
Where is my history kept? Does it sync between devices?
Your check-ins, your sessions and the history behind “your shift” are stored on your iPhone. Reed works without an account, so there’s no copy of your practice on our side and no sync between devices.
The upside is that your practice is genuinely yours. The trade-off is that it travels with the device, not with you.
I’m getting a new iPhone. Will my practice come with it?
Yes, if you move across with an encrypted iCloud or Finder backup, or with Quick Start during setup — Reed’s on-device history is included in a full device backup. If you install Reed fresh on the new phone instead, it starts empty.
Reed Pro follows your Apple Account, not the device, so on the new phone just tap Restore purchases in Settings.
How do I delete everything?
Deleting the Reed app from your iPhone removes its on-device history with it. There is nothing further to request from us, because we don’t hold a copy.
If you’ve also written to us or joined the waitlist and want that email removed, ask us at hello@reedbreathworks.com and we’ll take care of it. Our privacy policy has the full picture.
Reminders, sound and the app itself
My reminder isn’t arriving
First check that notifications are allowed: iOS Settings → Reed → Notifications, with Allow Notifications on. Then check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t covering the time you’ve chosen, and that the reminder toggle in Reed’s own Settings is on.
If you use Pro’s adaptive reminder, it settles on a time from your own practice pattern and needs a handful of sessions before it has anything to work from. Until then it holds steady rather than guessing.
The session ended sooner or later than I expected
Reed ends on a whole breath rather than mid-count, so a session finishes at the first complete cycle at or past the length you chose. A five-minute session with a long pattern can therefore run a few seconds over. You can also end early at any time — Reed keeps what you did and still asks how you feel.
I can’t hear the tones, or I can’t feel the haptics
Check the physical Ring/Silent switch on the side of your iPhone, and the volume while a session is running. For haptics, iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics → System Haptics needs to be on. Low Power Mode also reduces haptics across iOS.
Reed is in the wrong language
Reed follows your iPhone’s language and is available in English and Spanish. To change it for Reed alone: iOS Settings → Reed → Language.
I’ve found a bug, or I’d like to suggest something
Both are welcome, and we read all of it. Bugs get fixed faster with the details listed below; suggestions genuinely shape what gets built next, especially the ones that describe the moment you wanted something rather than the feature you imagined.
Breathing safely
For most people, gentle guided breathing is calming and safe. Some techniques are more intense, though — especially the faster, forceful ones like Kapalabhati and Bhastrika. Check with a doctor before you begin if you’re pregnant, or have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, a respiratory condition, epilepsy, or experience panic attacks.
Always practise sitting or lying down somewhere safe — never while driving or in water — and stop if you feel dizzy or unwell.
Reed is for general wellbeing. It isn’t medical advice or treatment, and isn’t a substitute for care from a professional. If something feels wrong, stop the session and speak to a doctor. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
