What we keep, and what we don't.

Reed is built around a simple idea: your breath is your own. We collect as little as possible, and most of what Reed knows about you never leaves your phone.

Who we are

Reed is a breathwork and pranayama app for iPhone. In this policy, "Reed", "we" and "us" refer to the team that makes Reed. If you have any question about your privacy, you can reach us at hello@reedbreathworks.com.

What we collect

On this website, the only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us:

• Your email address, if you join the waitlist. That's the one field the form asks for, and it's optional; the rest of the site works without it.
• Basic technical data. Our site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request information (such as your IP address and browser type) in server logs to deliver and protect the site. We may also use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand general traffic. We do not build advertising profiles.

Inside the Reed app, your check-ins, your sessions, and the wellbeing history behind "your shift" are stored on your device. Reed works without an account, needs no wearable, and does not access health data unless you explicitly grant it. Reed Pro's insights are generated from that on-device history.

How we use it

We use your waitlist email for one thing: to let you know when Reed is available, and to send the occasional short update about the launch. Nothing else. When Reed ships, we'll stop using the list for anything other than what you signed up for.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we don't run advertising in Reed. We rely on a small number of service providers to run the site, such as our hosting provider (Vercel) and the email service that stores the waitlist. They process data only on our behalf, to provide their service.

Your choices

You're always in control of your email. Every message we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold or to delete it, by writing to hello@reedbreathworks.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR; we honour those requests regardless of location.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email only for as long as the waitlist is active, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then discarded.

Children

Reed is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the date above. For anything significant, we'll do our best to let you know directly.
